Lorax: Alternate ending
The once-ler threw the seed,
so perfect and so round,
and the seed let off a quiet sound,
as it bounced its way to the boy,
now having a heart full of joy,
as if it was the best treasure ever found.
The boy picked up the seed,
And finished off his deed,
by running oh so fast
and stumps and stumps he past,
for the forest would soon get a feed.
He found the Lorax,
behind the smog of smogs,
his face so dim,
and mourning with the sadness,
and having little madness,
but more looking grim.
But the boy shared his tale,
and how it looked like a fail,
but he never let in,
instead, fought with a grin,
and showed the seed on his nail.
The Lorax smiled, as he did,
and ran as fast as a little kid,
and finished the need,
of planting the seed,
for his pain just flew and hid.
He dug a hole in the ground,
for a home, the seed had found
as the Lorax gave it water,
he'd raise it like a daughter,
and covered the seed in a big dirt mound.
Now, that Truffula tree grew,
and sprouted a new
and spread out its seeds,
and all of their needs
were proved by the Lorax, that's who.
The smog disappeared,
into thin air,
the pollution faded,
without despair...
Before too long, the forest was back!
And so the only thing it had in lack-
were the creatures-but not for long,
for now the friends are back home,
the Swomee-Swans sing their songs,
the Humming-Fish hummed their hums,
the Brown Bar-ba-loots with their suits,
played in the shade of Truffula Trees,
while eating the fruit of the new Truffula Trees,
and the Once-ler's frown went upside down,
into a bright, bright smile.
He crawled from his house,
onto the ground,
and saw with his old eyes filled with greed from the past...
The sun shined with so, so much freedom,
you would have to be dumb not to see his smile,
or, that the Lorax was filled with glee,
his face filled with a light coat of delight,
he looked, noticed, and saw the Once-ler,
forgave him for his misdeed,
for his eyes weren't filled with greed no more,
and a new tomorrow shined this deed.
